it's my mother's birthday. funny 'cause of all this end of the world shit. miss her SO much. she was so smart and new a shitload about a shitload of things. she spoke seven languages and held 3 masters. only reason she didn't get her PHD was out of respect for her older sister who graduated from columbia and later became a psychiatrist.. i hope to get a few of her in progress manuscripts published in the near future.. happy borthday mom!! :)

this is my great uncle david. i'm not sure of the whole story but he graduated yale law at a very young age. shortly after graduation, he came down with tuberculosis. while in the hospital, the leading law fim in manhattan during the time offered him a job if he made it out alive. unfortunately, he didn't make it. there was an article in the times that week. i'll post it with more pictures of him next month.
